Outdoor Pursuits Supervisor

About the role

The Outdoor Pursuits Supervisor leads Homewood’s winter Outdoor Pursuits team, overseeing coordinators, guides, coaches, and attendants to deliver safe, consistent, and exceptional on‑mountain and backcountry experiences. Reporting to the Director of Club Operations, the role implements the winter operating plan, safety standards, and staffing schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the Outdoor Pursuits Coordinator, Guides, Coaches and Attendants, ensuring daily coverage and performance management.
• Oversee the winter safety program, conduct risk assessments, manage incident response and maintain certification tracking.
• Direct daily execution of ski, snowboard, snowshoe, backcountry, cat‑tour and UTV programs, stepping in to guide or instruct as needed.
• Handle administration such as scheduling, timekeeping, payroll input and purchase order approvals.
• Collaborate with Member Services, Sales & Marketing and Wellness on events, prospect experiences and program cross‑promotion.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in a luxury resort or comparable hospitality setting.
• At least 2 years of direct staff supervision experience.
• Strong knowledge of winter mountain operations, ski, snowboard and backcountry programming.
• AIARE avalanche certification or equivalent and First Aid/CPR qualification.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays, and meet physical demands of winter conditions.
