About the role
The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a PRN Orthopedic Technician to support ambulatory orthopedic services. This temporary, fixed‑term position provides hands‑on assistance in a fast‑paced clinical environment, ensuring patients receive high‑quality orthopedic care.
Key responsibilities
- Assist orthopedic physicians and surgeons with patient examinations, procedures, and post‑operative care.
- Prepare and maintain orthopedic equipment and supplies for ambulatory clinics.
- Document patient information and clinical observations accurately in the electronic health record.
- Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols.
- Support patient mobility and positioning during examinations and treatments.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited Orthopedic Technician program preferred.
- Valid certification or licensure as an Orthopedic Technician (or ability to obtain).
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow clinical procedures.
