OR Surgical Technician (TOSH)

About the role

The OR Surgical Technician (TOSH) provides essential support in the operating rooms at UAMS, ensuring that surgical instruments are prepared, sterilized, and readily available for procedures. This position works day shifts within a clinical environment and contributes to patient safety and efficient surgical workflow.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment for each case.
• Assist surgeons and operating room staff by passing instruments and supplies during procedures.
• Maintain strict infection‑control standards and ensure compliance with hospital policies.
• Monitor and restock instrument trays and supplies between cases.
• Document instrument usage and assist with equipment maintenance.

Required profile

• Legal authorization to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Relevant certification or training for surgical technology.
• Ability to work day shift in a fast‑paced clinical setting.
