Operations Manager - Industrial Hose Products & Services

About the role

The Operations Manager will oversee all counter sales and warehouse activities for our industrial and hydraulic hose product line. This role ensures smooth daily operations, high customer satisfaction, and profitable branch performance in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Open and close the branch each day, managing cash, bank deposits, and petty cash.
• Maintain a clean, organized facility and keep retail stock accurately labeled and up‑to‑date.
• Perform daily inventory adjustments and verify proper receipt of shipments.
• Oversee shipping and receiving to guarantee timely delivery of products.
• Maintain payroll records and schedule staff to ensure adequate coverage.
• Manage paperwork workflow to meet production schedules and monthly budget targets.
• Follow up on quotes, convert them to orders within margin guidelines, and handle call‑out orders promptly.
• Ensure regular building and equipment maintenance and control operational expenses within budget.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience in hose fabrication and distribution.
• Hands‑on experience with both industrial and hydraulic hoses.
• Ability to manage a busy counter and move customer traffic efficiently.
• Strong customer‑service orientation with the ability to leave customers wanting to return.
• High level of inventory understanding and ability to spot purchasing trends.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
