Operations Area Manager

About the role

This hands‑on, continuous‑improvement focused position is based on a world‑class manufacturing floor. You will develop, monitor and maintain production plans to ensure excellent process performance and product quality while leading a unionized team in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise a team of unionized employees in a 24/7 production facility to optimize efficiency.
• Learn brewing and packaging processes through hands‑on training.
• Develop, monitor and maintain production plans, inventories and schedules.
• Plan, direct and manage packaging activities to meet KPI targets.
• Identify and implement operational improvements to exceed performance goals.
• Manage manpower planning, training and coaching for the department.
• Execute health and safety programs and enforce safety and quality standards.
• Oversee department financial results, inventories and SAP tracking.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives using lean, Six Sigma, root‑cause analysis and PDCA cycles.
• Maintain compliance with labor contracts and manage union relations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering, supply chain, science or related field.
• 1‑3 years supervisory experience in a unionized production environment.
• Willingness to work any shift, including nights and paid weekends.
• Strong leadership, change‑management and influencing abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
