Operations Analyst – Regional Field Office (Cumming)

About the role

Serves as the customer‑service contact and subject‑matter expert to providers, individuals, families, partner agencies and DBHDD staff regarding billing and approval processes for Medicaid waiver and DBHDD state‑funded services. The position is based in Cumming, GA with a hybrid schedule (one day per week in the office).

Key responsibilities

• Authorizes services, including Individual Support Plan and version‑change approvals through IDD Connects and the IDD Information System.
• Monitors service utilization, processes state‑fund allocations, and reviews reports from state‑funded providers.
• Gathers, compiles, and analyzes fiscal and service‑utilization data.
• Researches and responds to internal and external inquiries concerning spending trends, program issues, billing problems, and regulations.
• Prepares reports of findings and analysis, and makes recommendations for operational changes.
• Identifies trends, discrepancies, and variances to improve efficiency and effectiveness of operations.

Required profile

• Associate degree in business or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• At least one year of experience related to the area of assignment.
• Ability to meet required vaccinations, drug screening, TB evaluation, and background‑check requirements.

Required skills

• Proficient with Microsoft Word.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, including database management.
• Experience working with IDDIS and/or IDD Connects.
