About the role

HEI Civil is seeking a motivated Front Loader Operator to join its construction teams across the United States. The successful candidate will operate company‑owned or rented front‑loader equipment safely, supporting projects that range from roads and bridges to water infrastructure and environmental restoration.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain three points of contact on all equipment at all times.
• Follow signals and instructions from crew members and coordinate work accordingly.
• Complete daily equipment inspections and check‑lists, reporting any needed repairs.
• Clean and perform routine maintenance on the loader.
• Attend daily safety briefings with the crew.
• Operate the equipment in compliance with site safety policies, traffic laws, and company procedures.
• Report safety violations and incidents to the supervisor or safety director.
• Perform additional labor tasks when not operating equipment, as required by the foreman.

Required profile

• Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy materials and work in demanding weather conditions.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing site environments.
• Disciplined, reliable, and proactive attitude.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least two years of experience operating a variety of heavy equipment is preferred.

Required skills

• Knowledge of computerized equipment controls and electronic systems.
• Basic understanding of construction principles and procedures.
• Excellent hand‑eye‑foot coordination.
