Office Engineer

About the role

Artheon is looking for an Office Engineer to support the Resident Engineer and construction supervision team on a variety of civil and infrastructure projects. This full‑time position will be based in New York and involves daily coordination of project documentation, reporting, and stakeholder communication.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain project records, correspondence, logs, and reports in line with agency and contract requirements.
• Assist with reviewing, tracking, and processing RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and contractor documentation.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly project reports and maintain documentation required by state and municipal transportation agencies.
• Track project correspondence, action items, approvals, and outstanding documentation.
• Support construction progress tracking, quantities, schedules, and milestone reporting.
• Coordinate with Resident Engineers, inspectors, contractors, consultants, and client representatives.
• Help prepare meeting materials, take minutes, and follow up on action items.
• Assist with change orders, payment documentation, project closeout, and other contract administration tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Management or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• 2–5 years of experience in office engineering, construction management, field engineering, or construction inspection.
• Experience supporting NYSDOT, NYCDOT, or NYC DDC projects is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with transportation, roadway, or public‑sector construction projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, specifications, and contract documents.
