Occupational Therapist – Outpatient Pediatrics

About the role

Ochsner Health is hiring an Occupational Therapist for its outpatient pediatrics program at the Boh Center in New Orleans. The therapist will work autonomously to evaluate children, develop and implement treatment plans, and monitor progress toward functional goals while ensuring high‑quality patient experience.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and create individualized occupational therapy treatment plans for pediatric patients.
• Deliver therapy sessions, adjust interventions based on patient response, and document progress in compliance with documentation standards.
• Maintain productivity targets related to access to care, patient experience, and quality metrics.
• Participate in program development and enhancement to meet community and patient needs.
• Adhere to federal, state, and local regulations and Ochsner’s compliance and privacy standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Current state occupational therapy license or eligibility for licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) competency.
