About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking board‑certified or board‑eligible OB/GYN physicians to join its OB/GYN hospitalist team. Both full‑time and PRN (as‑needed) positions are available, providing an opportunity to work in a Level 4 Center for Maternal and Neonatal care.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide primary coverage of the OB emergency department.
  • Serve as laborist, managing OB patient care for a designated group of physicians.
  • Act as a second in‑house staff attending, supervising residents and contributing to education.
  • Collaborate with maternal‑fetal medicine specialists and dedicated OB anesthesia to deliver evidence‑based care.
  • Participate in simulation training and quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

  • Board‑certified or board‑eligible OB/GYN physician.
  • Willingness to work full‑time or PRN schedules, including up to seven 24‑hour shifts per month for full‑time staff.
