Nursing Unit Manager – Operating Room (Jefferson Hwy)

About the role

We are seeking a Nursing Unit Manager for the Operating Room at our Jefferson Hwy location. The role is responsible for overseeing practice, quality of care, and service delivery on the unit, providing leadership and support to staff. You will manage personnel, supplies, and equipment while ensuring a cost‑effective operation.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure quality of care and patient satisfaction through unit‑specific systems and continuous improvements.
• Maintain operational profitability by managing budgets, performance data, system reporting, and inventory.
• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process and communicate pertinent information to patients, families, and staff.
• Participate in professional development activities and keep clinical knowledge and credentials current.
• Manage, develop, retain, and inspire an engaged workforce.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, accreditation standards, and hospital policies.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school with a BSN.
• Minimum 3 years RN experience, including at least 1 year as a charge nurse, supervisor, or leader.
• Current RN license in the state of practice and BLS certification.
• Strong knowledge of nursing practice and exceptional leadership abilities.
• Excellent organizational, time‑management, and self‑direction skills.
