Nuclear Medicine Physician (Full/Part Time)

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking board‑certified/eligible Nuclear Medicine Physicians to join its growing Nuclear Medicine section, providing diagnostic and therapeutic services across multiple hospitals and outpatient sites in New Orleans.

Key responsibilities

• Provide daytime coverage of outpatient and inpatient diagnostic nuclear medicine examinations and therapeutic procedures across Ochsner New Orleans South Shore hospitals, outpatient facilities, and urgent care centers.
• Supervise residents and fulfill academic responsibilities at Ochsner Medical Center New Orleans – Jefferson Highway.
• Participate in weekend and late‑shift coverage if dual board‑certified in Radiology and Nuclear Medicine.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Nuclear Medicine with fellowship training and American Board of Nuclear Medicine certification.
• Willingness to work full‑time or part‑time in an academic tertiary/quaternary medical center.

Required skills

• Diagnostic nuclear medicine and PET/CT interpretation.
• Therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures, including use of cyclotron‑produced isotopes.
