About the role
WKBT, News 8 Now in La Crosse – Eau Claire, Wisconsin is seeking a dynamic Newscast Producer to join the J365 development program. This entry‑level position offers intensive training and a pathway to a career in broadcast journalism.
Key responsibilities
- Produce and showcase newscasts, including the critical first 50 seconds.
- Lead newsroom activities, digital producing, and audience engagement.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, Communications or a related field.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and overnights.
Required skills
- Basic video editing proficiency and familiarity with editing software.
- Strong command of social media platforms and best practices.
