NDT Trainee / Junior Technician – Remote (Southeastern US)

About the role

Applied Technical Services is looking for an up‑and‑coming NDT Trainee/Junior Technician to support PG‑Dept 79 remotely from the southeastern United States. This full‑time remote role provides a clear path toward Advanced NDT and PAUT certification and is ideal for recent graduates or early‑career technicians with formal training and a strong desire to grow in power generation, renewables, or wind energy.

Key responsibilities

• Perform tasks as directed to prepare components or equipment for inspections.
• Interface with personnel to determine scope of work and prioritize tasks to meet customer expectations.
• Help clean and organize equipment before, during, and after projects.
• Document on‑job training experience as assigned by management.
• Work alongside certified technicians to complete projects and learn new activities.
• Perform other job‑related tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent with basic math and reading skills.
• Ability to use computers for data entry and report writing.
• Documented formal classroom hours preferred; virtual training may not be acceptable.
• Documented on‑the‑job experience preferred.
• Experience or knowledge of PT, MT, UT, UTSW, and PAUT is preferred.
• Reliable transportation, clean driving record, and ability to travel extensively.
• Must reside within reasonable distance to a major airport in SC, NC, VA, TN, GA, AL, or FL.
• U.S. Person status required for ITAR‑controlled information.
