Multi-Craft Mechanic

About the role

The Multi-Craft Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing plant machinery, equipment, and infrastructure to ensure safe, reliable production. This full‑time, day‑shift role supports a food‑processing environment with a strong focus on safety and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Repair and replace PLC equipment, tanks, pumps, motors, heat exchangers, agitators, boilers, air compressors, valves, and pipelines.
• Fabricate and weld piping, pipe fittings, equipment, and machinery.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• Conduct laser alignments, vibration analysis, and lubrication of machinery.
• Repair fire and safety alarm systems as needed.
• Assist E&I technicians and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum five years of experience in a related maintenance craft (Industrial Mechanic, Welder, Pipefitter, Millwright, Electrician, or E&I Tech).
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and on‑call.
• Physical ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lb.

• Use of CMMS (e.g., SAP) and root‑cause failure analysis.
• Reading technical drawings, diagrams, and safety directives.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70E electrical safety standards (preferred).
