MTS, Technology & Security Engineering

About the role

Reflection is a frontier AI research lab building open models. The MTS for Technology & Security Engineering will design and operate the security foundation protecting corporate environments, multi‑cloud research infrastructure, and high‑value GPU training capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Design and manage a resilient corporate device fleet across Linux, macOS, Windows and NVIDIA GPU workstations, shifting from restrictive MDM to intelligent posture verification.
• Architect cloud‑native security controls, IAM governance, network segmentation and isolation for multi‑cloud GPU clusters.
• Implement zero‑trust, context‑aware access using mesh networks (e.g., Tailscale, Cloudflare One) and hardware‑backed authentication (WebAuthn/FIDO2).
• Ensure 100% of infrastructure, endpoint configurations and IAM policies are declared as code (Terraform/Pulumi) with automated CI/CD validation.
• Build telemetry pipelines for behavioral detection, supporting SOC 2, ISO 27001, FedRAMP, NIST CSF audits and vendor risk assessments.

Required profile

• 7+ years of deep engineering experience in high‑valuation or defense‑grade environments.
• Proven leadership building security engineering functions at scale and interfacing with auditors, legal and enterprise customers.

Required skills

• Linux and macOS internals, NVIDIA GPU security.
• Public cloud architectures, IAM at scale, Kubernetes/container isolation.
• Terraform or Pulumi, Tailscale, Cloudflare One, WebAuthn/FIDO2.
• Security‑as‑code, detection engineering, SOC 2, ISO 27001, FedRAMP, NIST CSF compliance.
