MPS New Product Introduction Instructor (E3)

About the role

The MPS New Product Introduction (NPI) Instructor will act as both a technical expert and classroom trainer for new semiconductor equipment. Based in Portland, Oregon, the role blends learning emerging tools, developing curriculum, and delivering hands‑on and virtual training to internal teams and customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver New Product Introduction (NPI) technical training both in‑house and at customer sites, including live distance learning and hands‑on classroom sessions.
• Learn and maintain comprehensive technical knowledge of new semiconductor tools, develop course materials, and certify other instructors.
• Manage classroom and lab activities, ensure safety procedures, and coordinate on‑the‑job training.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing and Global Technical Training teams to create documentation, support system repairs, and contribute to product development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, education, training or equivalent military experience.
• At least 4 years of professional experience with semiconductor equipment installation, programming, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deliver training in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Mechanical and electrical system knowledge.
• Software and process control expertise.
• Robotics, programmable controllers, power supplies, pneumatics, vacuum and high‑voltage/high‑current systems.
• Troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for semiconductor tools.
• Instructional design and curriculum development.
• Project management and documentation creation.

What we offer

• Salary range $84,000 – $115,500 per year.
