Mold Machine Operator

About the role

As a Mold Machine Operator in our foundry, you will monitor automatic molding machines to ensure products meet specifications, detect jams or malfunctions, and make adjustments as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Visually inspect products for surface and dimension defects using precision measuring instruments.
• Move and position work pieces, including mold sections and patterns, using cranes or by directing others.
• Set up, operate, and trend metal or plastic molding, casting, or core‑making machines, adjusting pressure, temperature, speed, and cycle times.
• Remove finished or cured parts from molds, stamp identifying information, and perform routine maintenance.

Required profile

• Ability to stand up to 10 hours per day.
• Use both hands and feet continuously for up to 10 hours.
• Constant awareness of surroundings.
• Capability to push, pull, or lift up to 50 lb.

Required skills

• Operation of precision measuring instruments.
• Crane operation for moving heavy work pieces.
• Machine operation of metal and plastic molding equipment.
• Use of hand tools and air hoses for part removal.

• Starting pay $27.12 / hour with $2.00 shift differential (second shift) or $2.50 (weekends).
