Mobile Developer (Android)

About the role

Capgemini is looking for an Android Mobile Developer to design and build innovative mobile solutions for our clients. Working on‑site in Dallas, TX (and Durham, NC) you will create high‑quality Android applications using Kotlin, Jetpack and Compose within an Agile, DevOps‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy Android applications following MVVM and Clean Architecture principles.
• Implement Test‑Driven Development (TDD) and maintain full code coverage using AndroidX Test, Mockito, MockK, Espresso and UI Automator.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects and business sponsors to ensure solutions meet performance, security, usability and scalability requirements.
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub, Jenkins, Fastlane, Gradle and Kotlin DSL for automated builds, testing and releases.
• Provide application support, diagnose issues and perform post‑installation testing to minimise business impact.

Required profile

• Proven experience developing Android applications with Kotlin and Android Studio.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code and documentation for moderately complex projects.
• Experience with unit, UI regression and integration testing.
