About the role
Altais is seeking a friendly and organized Medical Receptionist to join its front‑office team. You will be the first point of contact for patients, helping to keep the clinic running smoothly while supporting the clinical staff in a paperless environment.
Key responsibilities
- Greet and register patients, provide necessary paperwork and verify insurance information.
- Collect co‑pays and balances, accurately record payments and assist patients with benefits questions.
- Answer incoming calls, schedule and confirm appointments, and triage calls for the clinical team.
- Take vitals, room patients, clean exam rooms and assist with procedures as needed.
- Maintain patient flow in accordance with practice management guidelines.
Required profile
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, preferably Athenahealth.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Athenahealth or similar EMR platforms.
