Medical Physicist Assistant

About the role

The Medical Physicist Assistant will support the clinical physics team at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, providing essential assistance in the delivery of safe and effective patient care. This position is open to current University of Arkansas System employees, including student employees and graduate assistants.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior medical physicists with equipment calibration, quality assurance, and routine maintenance.
• Support radiation safety programs and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collect, analyze, and document data related to clinical procedures and research projects.
• Prepare reports and maintain accurate records for departmental audits.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to troubleshoot technical issues during patient treatments.

Required profile

• Current employee of the University of Arkansas System (student employee or graduate assistant).
• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established protocols.
