Medical Laboratory Scientist II – Reference Lab

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist II to join its Reference Laboratory. In this position you will perform a variety of clinical laboratory tests that support patient diagnosis and treatment across the health system.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory analyses on patient specimens.
• Maintain accurate documentation of test results and ensure timely reporting.
• Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation.
• Implement quality control and assurance procedures to meet regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to interpret results and provide technical support.

Required profile

• Must be a qualified Medical Laboratory Scientist employed by UAMS.
• Must possess any required state licensure or certification for laboratory practice.
