About the role
The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist I specialized in Hematology to work weekend night shifts. The role involves performing hematology testing, analyzing patient specimens, and delivering accurate results to support clinical care.
Key responsibilities
- Perform routine and STAT hematology tests on patient samples.
- Operate and maintain hematology analyzers and related laboratory equipment.
- Conduct quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure test accuracy.
- Document and report test results in the laboratory information system.
- Adhere to safety, regulatory, and infection‑control standards.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field.
- ASCP or equivalent certification preferred.
- Eligibility for state licensure as a Medical Laboratory Scientist.
- Ability to work night shifts on weekends.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
