Medical Director, Rheumatology – US Medical Affairs

About the role

The Medical Director, Rheumatology will join the US Immunology Medical Affairs team in Horsham, PA. Reporting to the Therapeutic Area Lead, the role drives strategy and evidence generation for both pipeline and approved rheumatology products.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Integrated Evidence Teams (IETs) to develop and execute scientific and economic value narratives for rheumatology products.
• Design, oversee, and act as Study Responsible Physician or Scientist for Phase IIIb/IV trials, registries, and real‑world evidence studies.
• Collaborate with R&D, biostatistics, commercial, and global medical affairs to align evidence plans with regulatory and market access goals.
• Develop and review abstracts, manuscripts, and medical education content for field teams and scientific audiences.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (MD/DO, PhD, PharmD, DNP, or equivalent).
• Minimum 8 years of experience in academic/clinical research, clinical practice, or pharmaceutical industry, with a record of delivering key deliverables.
• Experience supporting commercial brand launches and executing clinical or real‑world evidence studies.
