About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a board‑certified or board‑eligible Transplant Nephrologist to serve as Medical Director of Kidney Transplantation. This senior physician leader will guide a nationally recognized program through its next phase of growth, innovation, and clinical excellence.

Key responsibilities

Lead and oversee a team of four transplant nephrologists while collaborating closely with a surgical team of ten transplant surgeons.
Drive strategic direction, program development, and mentorship of the next generation of transplant providers.
Expand clinical volume, improve patient access, and advance innovative care delivery models, including robotic transplantation.
Optimize operations, shape team structure, and enhance outcomes and patient experience.

Required profile

Board‑certified or board‑eligible transplant nephrologist with demonstrated leadership experience.
Proven ability to work in a high‑performing, collaborative, multi‑disciplinary environment.
Experience in academic medicine, clinical research, and mentorship is preferred.
