Medical Director, Dermatology – US Medical Affairs

About the role

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Medical Director for Dermatology within the US Immunology Medical Affairs organization. The role will lead clinical programs, support product strategy, and collaborate across multiple functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute Medical Affairs‑sponsored clinical programs, including Phase 3b/4 trials, registries, and real‑world evidence studies.
• Lead study design, protocol development, data monitoring, and preparation of clinical study reports and publications.
• Provide dermatology subject‑matter expertise to internal stakeholder teams such as sales, marketing, health economics, and field medical staff.
• Support medical information requests, create medical education content, and partner with medical communications for content review.
• Identify and engage key opinion leaders, build relationships with medical societies and patient advocacy groups.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD/DO, DNP, or PA) with at least 8 years of combined experience in academic research, clinical practice, and the pharmaceutical industry.
• Significant medical affairs experience, preferably in dermatology or immunology, and experience with clinical, registry, or real‑world evidence studies.
• Strong scientific writing, analytical thinking, and public speaking skills.
• Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and collaboration abilities.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% (primarily domestic).
