Medical Assistant – Rheumatology

About the role

Grow, learn, and thrive as a Medical Assistant in our Rheumatology Clinic located in beautiful northwest Arizona. You will work alongside physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners to deliver high-quality patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Assist physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners with patient examinations and procedures in the rheumatology office.
• Perform a variety of patient-care duties as delegated by the physician, including taking vitals, preparing exam rooms, and documenting information.

Required profile

• High School diploma or equivalent and current American Heart Association or Red Cross BLS certification.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or possession of a recognized MA certification (CCMA, RMA, AAMA, NCMA, CMAC) – assistance provided if certification is needed.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb, stand or walk 90 % of the day, and work above or below shoulder level.
