Medical Assistant – ENT (SUSL)

About the role

The Medical Assistant assists healthcare professionals in providing patient care across medical offices, clinics, and hospitals. They perform both administrative and clinical tasks such as taking medical histories, recording vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and supporting medical procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care by acquiring medical history, vital signs, and lab samples.
• Communicates with nursing staff regarding changes in the patient’s condition and maintains necessary supplies.
• Greets patients, schedules appointments, registers, checks out, collects payments, and verifies insurance coverage.
• Transports patients within the hospital as needed.
• Provides grooming, oral hygiene, comfort measures, and assists patients with physical activities.
• Documents all patient care activities and adheres to the institution’s safety plan.

Required profile

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• At least one year of experience in a medical assistant, nursing home, or hospital setting with direct patient care.
