Medical Assistant – Cancer Center (Full‑Time)

About the role

The Medical Assistant will work in the Cancer Center, providing direct patient care under the supervision of a physician, PA, or NP. The role supports Kingman Healthcare Inc.'s vision to deliver kind, high‑quality health services.

Key responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms, obtain vital signs, medical history and reason for visit.
• Perform CLIA‑waived laboratory tests, specimen collection, proficiency testing and venipuncture.
• Assist with clinical procedures, injections and preparation of chemotherapeutic agents for oncology nurses.
• Schedule and confirm appointments, manage patient communications and maintain accurate records.
• Charge for technical services, balance accounts, collect payments and process authorizations.
• Maintain exam rooms, supplies, medication and immunization inventories.
• Report to public health authorities as directed by the provider.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; proof required at hire.
• Graduation from an accredited medical assistant program or current national medical assistant certification (AAMA, AMT, NCCT, NHA, etc.).
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• One to two years of experience as a medical assistant in an outpatient clinical setting.

Required skills

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Venipuncture and specimen collection.
• Performance of CLIA‑waived laboratory tests.
• Data entry and patient scheduling.
• Measurement of vital signs and administration of immunizations.
