Mechanical Plant Technician – Machinist

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and housekeeping as required of a plant technician machinist.
• Participate in group discussions and problem‑solving activities as needed.
• Assist other team members in accomplishing tasks.
• Engage in personal development through training and on‑the‑job learning.
• Carry out additional responsibilities and tasks assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum 5‑7 years of experience as a machinist with demonstrated on‑the‑job progression.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities to identify root causes.
• Self‑starter who shows initiative and can organize, schedule, and perform multiple tasks.
• Excellent attendance record and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Active participation in team activities and strong interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Proficient in welding and sheet metal fabrication.
• SPCI and SPII gauge training (preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Competent in reading calipers, depth micrometers and dial indicators.
• Computer and software skills, including detailed knowledge of PLM systems.
