Mechanical Installation Supervisor – LSS

About the role

Dematic, a Kion Group company, is looking for a Mechanical Installation Supervisor to lead mechanical installation activities across customer sites throughout the continental United States. The role involves ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence while coordinating subcontractors and contract labor teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead jobsite safety programs, conduct safety audits, and enforce OSHA and Dematic standards.
• Supervise and coordinate contract labor teams (6+ installers) and subcontractors, providing training and direction.
• Oversee installation of material handling systems, conduct equipment trial runs, and ensure compliance with standards.
• Manage quality assurance activities, complete checklists, and close punch‑list items.
• Provide site status updates, attend daily stand‑ups and weekly project meetings, and escalate issues as needed.
• Manage site material inventory, order required installation materials, and track logistics.
• Write trip reports, identify problems, recommend solutions, and handle expense reporting via CONCUR.

Required profile

• Experience supervising installation teams and subcontractors on construction or industrial sites.
• Proven experience installing or troubleshooting electromechanical equipment.
• Background with material handling systems such as conveyors, AGVs, or AS/RS (preferred).
• Knowledge of quality‑assurance processes and installation standards.
• High School Diploma required; Associate’s Degree preferred.
• OSHA 10 certification required; OSHA 30 preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 100% on short notice.
• Physical ability to lift at least 50 lb and work on construction sites.
