About the role
As a Mechanical Engineer you will apply a strong foundation in physics, mathematics, and materials science to solve mechanical challenges, design custom tooling, and support the handling, assembly, and disassembly of components throughout the product life cycle of semiconductor equipment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end mechanical system design for wet‑process semiconductor equipment, focusing on system integration, fluid handling, and operating environments.
- Drive engineering execution from concept through release, including design, analysis, supplier engagement, build, and validation of complex mechanical and fluid subsystems.
- Define and optimize system‑level trade‑offs across performance, reliability, manufacturability, cost, and serviceability.
- Perform and validate thermal, structural, tolerance, and fluid flow analyses using first‑principles calculations and simulation tools (FEA/CFD).
- Communicate technical results to cross‑functional teams, management, and customers and manage engineering documentation in PLM systems.
Required profile
- PhD or master’s degree in mechanical engineering with 5–7 years of relevant experience, preferably in the semiconductor industry.
- Experience in semiconductor equipment design or troubleshooting, especially with wet‑process or electrochemical systems such as copper plating or wafer cleaning.
- Demonstrated strength in at least one technical domain: thermal engineering, compressible flow, mechanical design, or machining/manufacturing processes.
Required skills
- 3D CAD tools: Siemens NX, Creo (Pro/ENGINEER), SolidWorks.
- Engineering analysis tools: ANSYS, CFD ACE, COMSOL (FEA/CFD).
- Statistical data analysis tools: JMP, Microsoft Excel.
- PLM system experience: Teamcenter.
- Technical documentation and configuration control.
