Mechanic – 1st Shift (MRI Magnet Production)

About the role

This is an excellent opportunity to be a key player at our Latham, New York facility where we manufacture magnets for MRI machines.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain handheld and bench‑mounted power tools such as drills, riveters, torque drivers, and grinders to fabricate, assemble, and install mechanical components for MRI systems.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to interpret technical drawings, perform precise assemblies, and document tool usage and maintenance in compliance with medical‑device manufacturing standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with light industrial, home‑improvement, soldering, wiring, fabrication or general warehouse work.
• Ability to meet physical, cognitive and environmental job requirements, with or without accommodation.

Required skills

• Handheld and bench‑mounted power tools (drills, riveters, torque drivers, grinders).
• Soldering and wiring.
• Fabrication techniques.
• Interpretation of technical drawings.
