Material Handler

About the role

Alfa Laval is seeking a Material Handler to manage inventory and material flow across its Tulsa and Broken Arrow facilities. The role supports production teams, ensures accurate shipping and receiving, and contributes to a safe, efficient workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, unpack, and document deliveries, rejecting damaged items and coordinating with vendors.
• Load and unload freight using forklifts, hand trucks, and other equipment, and move materials to designated storage or work zones.
• Apply shipping labels, package components to quality standards, and verify outgoing shipments.
• Perform regular cycle counts, inventory validation, and disposal of obsolete items.
• Operate company vehicles and trailers to transport materials and oversized equipment.
• Participate in pre‑shift briefings, safety meetings, and support onboarding of new employees.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of material handling experience.
• Basic computer and math skills; ability to read tape measures and micrometers.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lb, and work in varied environmental conditions.
• Willingness to follow safety policies and maintain a clean work area.

Required skills

• Forklift operation certification (preferred).
• Overhead crane experience (preferred).
• Scissor‑lift certification (preferred).
• CDL license preferred for commercial vehicle operation.
