Marketing & Events Lead

About the role

This is a founding marketing hire at a fast‑growing AI/ML infrastructure startup building the go‑to platform for reinforcement‑learning environment creation, training, and evaluation. You will shape brand voice, drive inbound interest, and run memorable events for a deeply technical audience, working side‑by‑side with a small, high‑caliber team of AI researchers and engineers in San Francisco.

Key responsibilities

• Own and execute the overall marketing strategy and content calendar across all channels.
• Lead social media presence on Twitter/X and LinkedIn to grow audience, engagement, and inbound pipeline.
• Ghostwrite high‑quality content for company leadership that communicates product vision, insights, and platform milestones.
• Translate complex reinforcement‑learning and AI infrastructure concepts into clear, compelling narratives for a technical audience.
• Develop and refine brand voice, positioning, and storytelling across channels.
• Identify high‑leverage event opportunities such as conferences, hackathons, and technical community gatherings, and plan and run memorable events that reinforce the brand and generate pipeline.

Required profile

• 2 to 7 years of experience in marketing, content, or community roles at startups.
• Demonstrated track record of growing social accounts or company branding from an early stage.
• Writing portfolio that shows ability to understand technical products and explain them simply.
• Experience planning and running events, meetups, or community programs end‑to‑end.
• Background in marketing AI/ML, developer tools, or technical platforms.
• Active presence in AI/ML community and strong network within RL researchers or engineers.
• Familiarity with analytics tools and growth strategies for social and content.
• Comfortable working independently in a fast‑paced, early‑stage environment.

What we offer

• Salary range $100,000 – $150,000 USD per year.
