Marketing Data Scientist – Measurement & Experimentation

About the role

LinkedIn is looking for a Marketing Data Scientist to join the Measurement Strategy & Testing team. You will own end‑to‑end incrementality studies, turning business questions into rigorous experiments that guide marketing investment decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead incrementality studies from hypothesis formulation through design, execution, analysis, and recommendation.
• Advise Product Marketing, Finance, Data Science, and activation partners on hypothesis development, KPI selection, sample sizing, and test interpretation.
• Design and analyze experiments using randomized A/B tests, geo‑experiments, matched‑market studies, synthetic controls, and difference‑in‑differences.
• Develop geo‑based measurement frameworks to validate marketing mix models (MMM) and assess incremental impact.
• Communicate analytical findings clearly to technical and non‑technical stakeholders, including senior leadership.
• Prioritize, project‑manage, and drive multiple testing workstreams under tight timelines, documenting progress, risks, and decisions.
• Maintain and improve measurement standards, tools, documentation, and automation to scale testing across channels and markets.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading complex measurement initiatives in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong partnership skills with cross‑functional teams such as product marketing, finance, and data science.
• Ability to translate analytical insights into actionable business recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for senior audiences.
