Mark VIe/VIeS Controls Engineer

About the role

The Mark VIe/VIeS Controls Engineer will design, implement, and commission new control loops for power‑generation projects, upgrade and modify Mark V, Mark VI and Mark VIe control software, and work with the Gamma Thermometer Data Acquisition System. The role is onsite in Wilmington, NC (or Greenville, SC) and requires close collaboration with customers and technical leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and commission control loops according to site requirements.
• Upgrade and modify Mark V, Mark VI and Mark VIe control software, ensuring all code meets standards and is approved by the technical leader.
• Develop and configure the Gamma Thermometer Data Acquisition System, including final design, prototype, and data‑link setup.
• Review control philosophy, P&I diagrams, instrument lists and resolve device discrepancies before software implementation.
• Configure Cimplicity screens, perform software acceptance testing and support remote commissioning.
• Provide start‑up support, troubleshoot issues and work with experts to resolve them.

Required profile

• 5‑12 years of experience in control system engineering for steam turbine or plant controls.
• Proven ability to write ladder logic, statement list or block logic diagrams for PLC/DCS platforms.
• Experience with global, matrixed organizations and ability to prioritize multiple projects.
• Strong communication, presentation and project‑management skills.
