About the role
Applied Materials is a global leader in materials science and engineering, creating equipment essential for semiconductor and advanced display manufacturing. As a Manufacturing Technician I you will work hands‑on in a cleanroom environment building, testing and repairing multimillion‑dollar wafer and display fabrication equipment.
Key responsibilities
- Build, repair and test electrical, electro‑mechanical, vacuum and pneumatic assemblies using work orders, schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Perform electro‑mechanical assembly operations, troubleshoot faults, identify and correct errors.
- Utilize test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors and vacuum pumps to verify assembly performance.
- Enter progress, expense and labor data into computer systems and document completed work.
- Conduct parts audits, inspect for defects and ensure necessary components are available for builds.
Required profile
- Applies basic analytical and scientific methods to straightforward tasks.
- Understands how individual duties integrate within the team and broader production processes.
- Follows safety standards, attends required training and reports hazards promptly.
- No supervisory responsibilities; works independently under standard operating procedures.
