Manufacturing Engineer II - Technical Shop Floor Support

About the role

Airbus is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to provide technical shop‑floor support for its A320 Engineering department in Mobile, AL. The role focuses on assessing non‑conformities, managing late design changes, and driving continuous improvement on the production line.

Key responsibilities

• Assess non‑conformities and implement corrective actions on the shop floor.
• Support late design changes to keep production on schedule.
• Identify and lead continuous‑improvement initiatives for manufacturing processes.
• Respond to technical questions and explain work orders and drawings, especially for aircraft mechanical items.
• Maintain effective communication with final‑assembly line (FAL) production teams.
• Act as the interface between the production floor and the on‑site back‑office for work‑order adaptation.

Required profile

• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably aerospace.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work under time pressure.
• Effective communication skills to interact with production teams and back‑office staff.

Required skills

• Interpretation of work orders and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of aircraft mechanical components and systems.
