Manufacturing Engineer I – Technical Shop Floor Support (2nd Shift)

About the role

The Manufacturing Engineer I provides technical support on the shop floor during the 2nd shift, ensuring smooth production of aircraft components. You will assess non‑conformities, manage late design changes, and drive continuous improvement in the manufacturing process.

Key responsibilities

• Create and validate work orders for final assembly line (FAL) rework across cabin, systems, electromechanical, and structural stations.
• Analyze non‑conformities, verify technical content, and update documentation accordingly.
• Respond to technical queries, interpret work orders and drawings, especially for aircraft mechanical items.
• Maintain effective communication with FAL production teams and act as the liaison to on‑site back‑office for work‑order adaptation.
• Identify and propose continuous‑improvement opportunities for manufacturing processes.

Required profile

• Engineering background with focus on manufacturing or aerospace.
• Experience supporting production environments, preferably on a shift schedule.
• Strong analytical skills to assess technical issues and propose solutions.

Required skills

• Interpretation of technical drawings and work orders.
• Work‑order management and documentation.
• Knowledge of aircraft mechanical systems.
