Manager, Regulatory Systems Engineering

About the role

Radiant is developing the world’s first mass‑produced portable nuclear microreactors. The Manager, Regulatory Systems Engineering will lead the licensing and regulatory approval process for reactor deployments, primarily with military partners, coordinating submissions, timelines, and cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage customer relationships, schedule meetings, track deliverables, and ensure contract compliance.
• Own end‑to‑end licensing execution, from detailed safety analysis to physical protection planning.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external regulatory bodies to drive efficient project execution and authorization.
• Oversee technical team outputs, including design reviews and regulatory documentation, and synthesize inputs into clear data products and reports.
• Proactively review regulatory approaches to align with Radiant’s innovative licensing pathways.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (nuclear, mechanical, electrical, computer science, or related).
• Minimum 5 years experience in a regulated industry, preferably nuclear programs overseen by the NRC or DOE.
• Comfortable working in uncertainty on first‑of‑a‑kind projects.
• Proven ability to mentor junior team members and communicate complex regulatory concepts.
