Manager, Investment Optimization – Commercial & New Payment Flows

About the role

The Commercial & New Payment Flows (CNPF) team at Mastercard focuses on payments and money‑movement transactions for businesses of all sizes. As the Manager of Investment Optimization, you will lead the strategy for allocating and managing investments across CNPF projects to drive optimized outcomes and support the company’s inclusive digital economy mission.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement a framework to measure progress against milestones for funded investments.
• Recommend adjustments to investment allocations, including scaling up, pausing, or terminating projects as needed.
• Maintain a pipeline of potential investment opportunities sourced from global product and regional teams.
• Collaborate with finance partners to develop and manage business cases supporting each opportunity.
• Build alignment across CNPF business units around the investment optimization approach.
• Report investment performance and insights to senior executives such as the Chief Commercial Payment Officer, CFO, and Head of Strategy & Operations.

Required profile

• Experience in strategy, program management, consulting, or related fields.
• Proven ability to drive large‑scale, cross‑functional initiatives in complex organizations.
• Strong analytical, data‑driven problem‑solving capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with influence across teams.
• Demonstrated success in implementing organizational change.
• Knowledge of the payments industry and Mastercard’s product portfolio.
