Manager – High Net Worth Tax Practice

About the role

We are seeking a licensed CPA to lead our High Net Worth Tax Practice. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in tax strategies for clients with complex investment portfolios, including partnerships, real estate, and hedge fund K‑1s, and a passion for family wealth structuring.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage tax compliance engagements, ensuring adherence to firm and professional standards.
• Review complex tax returns, projections, workpapers, and conduct tax research.
• Provide comprehensive tax planning and advisory services to high‑net‑worth individuals, families, and related entities.
• Communicate proactively with clients and partners about project status and service opportunities.
• Plan and schedule engagements, manage budgets, prepare billings, and support cash collections.
• Coach Associates and Seniors, sharing knowledge and guiding career development.
• Contribute to proposal development and recruitment efforts.

Required profile

• CPA license with a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Minimum 5 years of tax experience serving high‑net‑worth individuals, preferably in a public accounting firm.
• Strong organizational, management, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, demanding environment.

Required skills

• CCH Axcess Tax (preferred)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel for complex workpapers and analytical reports
• Expertise reviewing complex Form 1099s
• Expertise reviewing hedge fund and private‑equity Schedule K‑1s
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and adjusting journal entries
• In‑depth knowledge of tax accounting, tax law, tax planning, tax advisory, and tax compliance
