Managed Services Physician Revenue Cycle Manager

About the role

As a Managed Services Physician Revenue Cycle Manager within PwC’s Advisory practice, you will lead the delivery of physician revenue cycle operations for client organizations. You will be responsible for optimizing billing, collections and related processes while driving performance improvements through data analysis, automation and technology solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead physician revenue cycle functions including billing, collections, insurance AR follow‑up, denial and appeal management, underpayment pursuit, payer escalation, cash posting, reconciliation and credit resolution.
• Manage blended on‑shore and off‑shore teams serving integrated delivery networks and multi‑specialty environments.
• Drive performance against key metrics such as aging/DAR, cash collection, denial rates, write‑offs and self‑pay through inventory health management and targeted initiatives.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis of denials, rejections and claim edits, and implement corrective and preventive actions to reduce billing defects.
• Develop and enforce operating standards, workflows, playbooks and process improvements across client engagements.
• Produce weekly operational reports and lead monthly executive performance reviews.
• Collaborate with Access, Coding, Technology and Client Delivery leaders to resolve cross‑functional issues and escalate systemic concerns.
• Lead automation, workflow optimisation and digital transformation projects to improve scalability and service quality.
• Hire, coach and performance‑manage team leads while aligning capacity with operating unit priorities.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, client requirements and revenue cycle procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in Revenue Cycle Management, preferably in a managed‑services or advisory environment.
