Maintenance Technician – The Stacks

About the role

The Maintenance Technician for The Stacks ensures that all building systems, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance and functionality. This full‑time onsite role involves responding to resident service requests, performing preventative maintenance, and preparing vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and repairing according to policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, repairs and final inspection.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage, return unused items and notify supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by trash removal, pressure‑washing, general cleaning and painting of curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Hold EPA Type I & II or Universal refrigerant certification (required for certified service technicians).
• Possess any state or local certifications required for service technicians and a valid driver’s license for operating a golf cart on the property.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including on‑call duties during evenings, weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• EPA refrigerant handling certification (Type I, Type II, Universal).
• Mechanical repair and preventative maintenance expertise.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lb independently and up to 50 lb with assistance.
