Maintenance Technician – Sloan Clarendon

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Sloan Clarendon community in Arlington. The role ensures that all building systems, grounds, and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for safety, cleanliness, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with safety codes and company policies.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory by retrieving supplies, tracking usage, and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document all service activities accurately and promptly for tracking and reporting.
• Maintain common areas and amenities by trash removal, pressure‑washing, general cleaning, and occasional painting of curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing parts when feasible and minimizing waste of materials.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant trade certifications are a plus.
• Experience in residential or commercial property maintenance.
• Ability to work independently, follow safety procedures, and communicate effectively with residents and team members.

Required skills

• Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Familiarity with inventory tracking and work‑order systems.
