Maintenance Technician – Sanctuary at Eagle Creek

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures that the physical aspects of the Sanctuary at Eagle Creek property—including buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas—meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality. The role combines routine preventative maintenance, resident service requests and make‑ready preparation for new move‑ins.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident service requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and repairing according to policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the make‑ready process for vacant units: conduct pre‑move‑out inspections, create punch lists, schedule vendors, procure supplies, perform repairs and verify completed work.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage, return unused items and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking and reporting.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep by picking up debris, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning and painting curbs or signage as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• EPA refrigerant recycling certifications (Type 1, Type II or Universal) and any state/local certifications required for service technicians.
• Valid driver’s license (required to operate a golf cart on the property when applicable).
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, walking, climbing ladders, lifting up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance) and working in all weather conditions.

Required skills

• EPA Type 1 refrigerant certification.
• EPA Type II refrigerant certification.
• Universal refrigerant certification.
• Proficiency with preventative maintenance procedures and make‑ready processes.
