Maintenance Technician – Property Operations

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Cyan Southcreek community. The role ensures that buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance and functionality. The technician works both independently and with vendors to keep the property operating smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with safety codes and company policies.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, repairs and final walkthrough.
• Maintain inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Perform grounds and amenity upkeep such as trash removal, pressure‑washing, general cleaning and painting of curbs and signage.
• Inspect contractor work, conduct property safety audits and report incidents in accordance with Greystar’s risk‑management policies.

Required profile

• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays, and to be on‑call as needed.
• Physical capability to lift up to 25 lb independently, 50 lb with assistance, and to work in all weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license for operating a golf cart on the property.
• Commitment to safety training, including OSHA requirements and timely incident reporting.

Required skills

• EPA Type 1 refrigerant certification.
• EPA Type 2 refrigerant certification.
• EPA Universal refrigerant certification for refrigerant recycling.
