Maintenance Technician – Pooler Station

About the role

This position performs technical and mechanical work that ensures the physical aspects of the buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety, and overall functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and repairing according to policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks and final inspection.
• Maintain inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Assist with grounds and amenity upkeep such as trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning and painting of curbs and signage.

Required profile

• Comply with Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, attend safety meetings and complete OSHA‑related training.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays, and respond to on‑call duties.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders and lift up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance) in all weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license for operating a golf cart when required.

Required skills

• EPA Type I refrigerant recycling certification.
• EPA Type II refrigerant recycling certification.
• EPA Universal refrigerant recycling certification.
