Maintenance Technician (Multi‑Site)

About the role

Greystar is seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician to support a pod of communities in the Charlotte area. This multi‑site position requires traveling between properties to ensure buildings, grounds, and amenities meet the company’s standards for safety, appearance, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, creating punch lists, scheduling vendors, obtaining supplies, completing repairs, and inspecting finished work.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment by tracking usage, returning unused items, and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests and maintenance activities accurately and promptly.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and minimizing material waste.

Required profile

• Reliable personal transportation and ability to travel between multiple sites in the Charlotte area.
• Hands‑on experience with building systems, mechanical repairs, and general property maintenance.
• Ability to follow safety procedures, maintain accurate records, and manage inventory.
